They conduct all business through unsecure email and a poorly provided application process. (Google blocks emails to their servers). They have no working option for online applications. The only reliable method is an in-person application, which is about 10 years behind every other utility provider. Sheffield needs to desperately modernize their application system.
Typically I don't do bad reviews I leave it be. The office put in an order to have utilities cut off at one of my dad's properties racked it on to his bill at another property due to the same name on the account. The utilities were never cut off, and we had power at both properties. Told us they " took care of the bill" and we didn't owe anything for months but $100 well thats nice right? No, the other properties bill is 1324. They cut it off, and demand 250 extra with whats owed to cut it back on..it has been a huge struggl... read more
I know there is not much reason to leave a review. This is not a typical business that might look at their reviews and think, "hey, maybe we should try to improve the public's perception". Like most people, I feel that I am being grossly over billed. It seemed to start around the time that my new meter was put in. Nothing has changed in my usage except I installed a new HVAC unit that is drastically more efficient than my old one. Yet, my bill gets higher and higher. Want to speak with someone about it?
