I had a really good experience... but my 4 star rating reflects everything including COST. Steel Chief is NOT cheap. If their price is somewhat 20-25% cheaper than what they are, I would give 5 stars for sure! I went with Steel Chief coz I needed a custom size shed which nobody else seems to do. But it did cost a lot. Also, the shed slab concrete they quoted was a bit high... DOUBLE than how much I got it for from a normal concreter... so yeah, 4 stars, would've 5 stars if the cost was a little less...
Very positive experience, far more professional than I expected. I'm extremely happy with my new shed and its concrete slab. It's not really mentioned on the SteelChief website but just be mindful of site access constraints when sizing / ordering. Access to my back garden is via the garage side door and the roof panel JUST fitted!
Great experience throughout from ordering to laying concrete slab and shed install. Everyone was on time and tidy workers, the whole process took a couple of months all up but worth the wait.
The shed is of high quality but as you would expect that also comes with a high price tag. Overall my experience was good all the way through except that when I could not be available for the first delivery date they proposed, I then had to wait an additional 4 weeks before delivery was made as dates are worked to suit their time commitments not the customer,. The delay seems far too long when you have to pay a premium for delivery.
Michael was excellent on the phone & email in getting my queries answered, however, SteelChief was not able to provide a technician to come and provide quote/measurement. For a smaller site that is not standard, this can be quite tricky, especially with the measurement and pricing of the product. Ordering was easy, and manufacture turn around was around 6 weeks.
