If I could give a half start I would. This place is disgusting and only after your money. I fell, broke a rib and was told to go to the ER to get a cat scan. While at the ER they tried to give me narcotics even though I said I was able to manage the pain with over the counter pain relievers. They tried to perform a blood work up even though it was clear what was wrong with me. When they couldn’t tell me the cost of the cat scan I left. June 17th I went to the ER with severe back pain. I was discharged after imaging done w a follow up to an orthopedist. When i went to the orthooedist they saw an infection. With that they sent me back to the ER to be admitted. I stay over 6/20 to the evening of 6/21. i was visitted in my room by Okereke, Uchenna C., MD , infectious disease. She was so rude. Got accused of harassment because I was standing around waiting for results and I looked at one of the nurses. What is this world coming to? I really don't want to be here anymore.

This place is a dump. No one ever goes there unless they have to. It's always empty and the staff does not know how to deal with little situations let alone a big one. God bless those who go.

I came to bacus on Saturday at 5 pm with severe pain in my right upper chest. I have COPD and I coughed very hard and felt a pop in my upper right side. They took x-rays and I did not break my rib. For pain relief they started me out with dilaudid which didnt help. Then they tried a low dose of morphine which surprising didn't help. Then they tried a Valium which helped a little. I recently gave birth here for the first time. Let me start by saying the nurses and doctors were amazing! I did not have an easy time and they were so incredibly helpful. However, the lactation consultant I meet with was another story. I been struggling breastfeeding so she came to help. I use this term loosely, I told her I wanted to pump instead because breastfeeding was not working for me or my child. On July 4th I went to Backus ER on the advice of my primary really saved my life. I was evaluated and operated on a few hours later according to my surgeon it was touching go in the OR almost lost me a couple times but I survived. The aftercare in my opinion was extremely good. From the CMAs to the doctors that visited me I have nothing but good things to say about all of them.
