Just moved to Steveston so I asked Ladies that I admired their haircuts where they went, Shay's on Chatham was their answer. I booked an appointment and was so happy with the service. Shay is very personable. The salon was light and airy. I got a great cut, highlights and hair styling. So happy to have found my new hairstylist!

Most old people running the business. They all are very humble though. I got my bob cut fixed from them which was messed up by a professional.

My mom has been going to Shay for the past 30 years, and I have been going for the last 10. Shay has a strong clientele that she has been able to maintain over the years due to her ability to go above and beyond for her customers. I have never left the salon with a complaint. I went to Shay's in August of 2024. I've never had such a horrible experience at a hair salon. My haircut was not what I asked for and Shay used an antiquated cap and needle to streak my hair instead of using foils. She also told me she wasn't going to charge for the cut, but the total bill came to $210 and change -- just for a few streaks using an antiquated method.
