I'm so grateful to Shay Electric. We recently lost all power in our basement. The first electrician we called from a different company said there was no quick way to restore power and that we urgently needed an $8,000 upgrade. I then called Shay for a second opinion, and that electrician restored power immediately and for free by unplugging a single lamp. He also confirmed no further upgrades were needed. I really appreciated his honesty, knowledge, and helpfulness in a very stressful time.
Shay Electric did a great job running new wire and installing new recessed can lights in our new faux beams. I would recommend them for any electrical needs you may have.
Called them a few days ago about updating our electric service in order to install a hot tub. Their technician, Matthew, came out with an apprentice yesterday to do the job. They were very professional and included us in the process- taking the time to explain things as they went. They even went so far as to help fill and prepare the tub for use - checking jets and installing chemicals! We highly recommend them and are so very pleased with their service!

A big tree limb came down in the wind and seriously damaged power lines and tore the masts off of my house and a neighbor’s. Mid American was there for hours, and Shay was right there with them. He came out after 6, tracked down materials, totally replaced the box and mast on one house and did major rewiring on another. He worked until almost midnight in 12 degree temps and 50 mph winds to get our heat back on. Amazing!
