Great mountain Went on Thursday in January from noon to 5pm after a 6 inch snowfall. Conditions were genuinely perfect with packed powerer and fresh powder along the edges. Staff is friendly, lodge clean, French fries are tasty. I learned to ski here as a little kid and hadnt been back in 22 years! Brought back some memories. The mountain sure felt "bigger" back then, lol, but now I know why the school's ski club brought us here, it really is fantastic learning terrain as nothing is very difficult.
Great skiing in the Poconos The weather was great and went on a Wednesday, so there was no one there! The high-speed lift was WAY better than the other lift. We had a blast. No ice, no slush, who could ask for more in the Poconos?
Great First Time Experience! I really learned a lot during my 9:45am lesson on Saturday morning. I went from fear of skiing to being able to enjoy the green trails all afternoon. We (my son, his friend, and his friend's family) had a great first time at Shawnee and we very much appreciated the excellent family-friendly staff and facilities. We will go back soon!
Best snow tubing in the Poconos - Great staff Snow tubing itself is so much fun! It??s a great wintertime family activity for us that don??t ski. Tubing staff was awesome. They were all the nicest tubing staff we have come across in the Pocono??s. Wow, Impressive! The staff helped our 6, 7, and 11 year old not to mention us scared adults. We thought they were great! John, the supervisor even helped to encourage our daughter. We will go back.

Decent but not quite what I expected eh.... I was disappointed. Feels too resort-y and not serious a ski place, even though it is small and I wasn't expecting much. I left feeling like hanging out in the lodge was more fun than being out in the snow which is not what you want after buying a lift ticket!
Buy on get one! This is a small but very family oriented ski resort. It is less crowded them most ski resorts and have very cheap prices. We go a week in February that is buy one ticket get one free!
