I would highly recommend Shawnee Endodontics and Dr. Nelson. The receptionist was so accommodating by letting me come in days early due to pain. Dr. Nelson was so kind and patient for the procedure, I had very little pain and the recovery so far has been excellent. Will refer and come back!
My daughter was referred to an Endodontist for a likely root canal procedure and we chose Shawnee Endodontics due to them having good reviews and they take our insurance. Got an examination from Dr. Nelson who said he did not agree that we needed a root canal, and told us to start using sensitive toothpaste instead. We went in expecting to spend a couple thousand $ and ended up only spending $6. Very honest business, will definitely be back if we unfortunately need his services again.
The staff was wonderful, Dr. Nelson did a great job. I have a lot of dental anxiety and they were very kind and considerate with me. I had a root canal, numbed me up well and I didn’t feel a thing. The front desk was also so kind and flexible with health issues that arose separate from my root canal. Hopefully I won’t need to return but if so, I’d come here.
I had a procedure done here in 2021, the actual procedure and doctor were great but their billing is a mess. I never received a statement in 2021 for what was owed after insurance. 3 years later they told me an audit found I owed money. At this point I had different insurance and no way to look up what needed to be adjusted. I told them I thought this was an error and they continued to insist I pay even 4 years later. Be sure to check your statements.
