The place is classy and with sophisticated look. The food is amazing, one the best-tasting pani puri in Melbourne. We live far from Patterson Lakes but we came here all the way to order Cream Chicken. This has become our children’s favourite, aside from Butter Chicken. It was delicious, yummy and not many Indian restaurants have Cream Chicken in their menus. We are happy to find it here at Shavan’s. Excellent food, exceptional service is what we experienced. Very clean , lovely environment and nice elevation of being on level 1. The naan 🫓 bread was a highlight being hot and fresh very addictive. The vindaloo curry lamb, prawn and butter chicken were all super tasty.
Shavans has been the local Patterson Lakes Indian restaurant for a very long time, they were fantastic prior to moving into to the larger establishment, these days, not so much. Chicken Tikka, fantastic, rice and garlic nann, great, Beef madras tastes like it’s been defrosted and tossed in a pan to reheat (ordered many times hoping for better, never is, don’t bother), Lamb Vindaloo is the same, over priced, absolutely. I’ve ordered from this restaurant many times over the years, this will be my last.
We went to Shavan’s for dinner and the experience over there was just next level amazing. From the atmosphere, ambience, staff service to the food quality and taste, this restaurant has raised the standards of Indian cuisine and really shines bright out of all the Indian restaurants in Melbourne. Couldn’t fault my experience here. Food was great, loved the Cheesy naan and butter chicken. Service was great, and the atmosphere was great. Sound doesn’t travel in this restaurant so you can have good convos without hearing others + it is nice and cool in there so you don’t overheated after your curry… recommend!
