I was referred to this practice by my therapist after a recommendation to continue my mental health medication. I provided my insurance information and received my quote for a consultation. I called this practice in Oct 2020 after the stress of getting COVID, lost my business and income. When I was told the average cost was $150, I didn't think I could book, but the girl said let me check your ins just in case. She came back on the phone and said bc I had the ins I had, my appts in 2020 were at no cost due to the pandemic. I asked her to double check and she said yep, no charge to you. For the premium MedPsych charges, I expect attention to detail, follow through and urgency, which was promised, but quickly ceased post onboarding. I’m disappointed and would not recommend services from MedPsych and Dr. Paul Wurst. The administrative team had issues with follow through on notes from the doctor, follow-up regarding scheduling appointments and consistent delays with refilling prescriptions. My physician unfortunately referred me. Treated horribly by Jennifer at their office and then was told a 30 minute call by phone with psychology would cost $650.00 Try Cornerstone, 5 star care with psychologists that care for you without gouging you financially. Excellent front desk, very respectful and kind.

Ira Kaufman and the North Star Centre is a 5 star facility. Ira was my therapist and helped me through some really tough times. He is an experienced, kind and knowledgeable therapist. I highly recommend them. They accepted my insurance and the center gave me a detailed readout of how they billed.

BEWARE of this business. The North Star Center LLC billed out my insurance and then tried to extort additional money from us. Owner of the business Ira Kaufman told me "Go F myself" when confronted on his billing policy.
