Cheap rent, however old building, black mold in our walls in the bathroom that they just recaulked over. Have had issues with mice and bed bugs, and they seem to do the bare minimum with the cheapest cleaning company they can find. Better to spend a little more and rent somewhere reliable. Landlord keeps the place tidy and is constantly prowling the hallways and premise, but its the bones and lack of hygienic care from other units that is the deeper issue.
