We have been to many therapists over the past 10 years as parents of children with trauma, Chenel Stewart was the stopping place. She has seen 4 of our 7 kiddos. She is fully trauma informed, patient & kind- even her voice is calming! I love that she knows when to listen, ask questions to get us thinking vs when to give the push to do better and really think about how to change things for ourselves. Chenel is one of the most compassionate and loving people I’ve ever been in the care of. I deeply regret not continuing my sessions with her. In fact, I looked her up today to call and get on the waitlist and decided to let people know what an amazing, intelligent & thorough counselor she is.
I have heavily debated this review, with careful consideration as to if it’s even worth it to share. However, in hopes of saving someone else the scrutiny and disappointment I experienced I figured it is worth my time to do so. I researched faith based counselors in the area and found Chenel Stewart. I read her entire website and was so excited to begin this journey.
