Signed a contract in August and in November I contacted them (for the third time) to ask when we were to have it 300ft driveway paved. I was informed they had landed more lucrative contacts (DOT) and I would be pushed into next year. What a poorly run company. So much for honoring local businesses and customers . That's why that notion is a joke. Thankfully, I found a great company out of Hickory who did an excellent job (see my reviews for recommendation). I should have given more thought to the sub 4 Star reviews.

Our HOA is very impressed with Shatley Construction and Chris Young. We highly recommend them. As an HOA board member, I worked with Chris to pave a rather large section of our HOA owned road. Chris was amazing to work with! Very professional and every call and/or text I sent, Chris replied to and in a reasonable timeframe. Once the project began, the crew was very respectful of the community traffic. We had an old and deteriorated asphalt road removed, gravel brought in, and asphalt laid. This is where i male my living. I couldn't ask for a better group of guys. They take pride in their work and treat everyone with a level of respect, only giving to your grandma. I strongly recommend them for any paving or grading work you need. These photos are of projects I was part of

Wow, I called to get an estimate on a road about 200 yards long and basically was told to find someone else because they didn't want to provide me with a competitive bid. The estimator (Chris) was rather rude when I mentioned I was shopping around for pricing. I would avoid this business/

We had a good size project to complete at our home. We needed the existing wrap around driveway repaired and recovered, but we also wanted to widen it and add additional pavement up to the garage we added to the property. Chris with Shatley came out the same day I called for an estimate. He did everything he said he would do and in the time frame he gave me. He also didn't go over the estimate.
