Amy did a great job on my grandkids hair. She took her time and discussed the haircut with me and them before starting. Love this place for kids haircuts.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. We visited Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids expecting a fun and safe environment for our son — instead, we left deeply disappointed and upset. The stylist, a tall woman whose name we unfortunately didn’t catch, completely botched my son’s haircut. Not only was the cut uneven and rushed, but when we politely voiced our concerns, she immediately became defensive, rude, and shockingly aggressive. Went here for my son’s first haircut and was very impressed with the stylists patience with my son. We left happy. While checking out they told us that we didn’t need appointments because they always have walk in availability. They made it seem like they prefer walk in’s. So this time, I didn’t make an appointment. The receptionist seemed put out and said she’d ask the stylist and let me know. I waited for 15 minutes with a two year old. I’ve taken my 2 year old son here a couple of times, every time I go I have to specify that he hates the clippers because he has a sensory issue, and some times they listen but some times they ignore me and proceed to cut his hair with the clippers and he ends up crying and getting hurt. We’ve been seeing Ms. Amy at Sharkey’s for 4 years now! It is so hard to find a hair stylist that can cut my son’s hair the way I like it! She is the best and we are willing to travel to get a good haircut. Highly recommend Ms. Amy! Not only does she do a great haircut (consistently), but she is great with my son. She is personable and makes all kids feel comfy in the chair! Go see Amy in Centreville!
