I’ve been seeing DR. Shapiro for 4-5 years now. I’ve suffered with chronic pain and exhaustion for over 15 years, and was constantly told nothing was wrong and it was all due to depression. While I do believe that the symptoms and not being heard has caused me to feel depressed I never actually thought it was my main cause. .I had been in councelling, Saw 3 other physicrists over the years. Anyway, it was Dr. Shapario who finally diagnosesd my problems when I was on Long term Disability from my work... I needed to have an assesment done and Dr. Shapario was chosen to give the assessment on me. He is the one who diagnosed my Mental, emotional problems, and learning problems that kept me from doing my job accuratly. If it hadn't been for Dr. Shapario I probably would not be here today. I'd like to say , Thank you Dr. Shapario.
Dr Shapiro has changed my life from night to day. I was misdiagnosed for the majority of my life and on medication that did little to nothing to help me. I struggled with suicidal thoughts everyday until I saw Dr Shapiro, he gave me the proper diagnosis and medication. Dr Shapiro is very knowledgeable and professional. I am so grateful for what he has started for me, a long road of healing and growing which I am now able to do.
I don't know where all the negative reviews are coming from. I do understand that those that seek the help of a psychiatrist are often mentally fragile and need empathy, and while Dr. Shapiro is not over-the-top in showing his empathy, he really is empathetic and caring, not to mention knowledgeable.
