Dr. Shapiro was wonderful. Root canal was virtually painless. Billing; pure hell. I laid my BC/BS card down in front of the receptionist upon check in as normally done. Without touching it I was told it wasn't accepted. I needed the procedure prior to upcoming major surgery so I paid cash as I left the office. Fast forward 6 months: BC/BS calls me with a routine sales pitch. I mention immediately my disappointment in their not covering my root canal. They make you wait in the dental chair, evaluate you then you wait some more as they check with your insurance company what they will pay them and what you owe. So your in pain waiting for all this to happen then someone comes over and they will not work on you until you sign this form and pay them. Then you wait 4 months and you get a check from them because they overcharged you
