If I could get this place minus 5 stars, I would! It’s like the land of the lost. It seems like they are waiting for the residents to die. My loved one was there for eight months too long. My loved one was in the hospital for dehydration. It’s horrible to spend the weekend in the hospital for something that should not have happened in the first place. My father was at Shanti Homes from June 2019 until his death in March 2020. Over the months that my father was in Shanti's care, he received nothing short of excellent individualized attention. Although we naturally worried about my father's health, we never worried about his well being while a resident at Shanti Homes and particularly, when we weren't there. My Mom was at Shanti Homes since October of 2011. She received excellent care and compassion, as well as individualized care when necessary. Shanti is a wonderful person who became a friend to me and my brother. The indivualized care that she received was far better than she would get at a larger facility. One time when my mom was discharged from the hospital, the social worker wanted my mom to go to a rehab facility.
