She cost me my life! I had my ovaries & breasts removed in 2016 cause I'm brca1 positive. Shannon knew that and prior to doing my diep flap surgery in 2019, she did imaging and saw a mass and said nothing to me (I'm assuming so she could still perform that $250,000 dollar surgery and get her paycheck through my insurance)welp her greed caused that tiny mass to grow to stage three incurable ovarian cancer, beyond reckless, greedy, immoral, and so on.
My review is not for Dr. Colohan, but for her practice. I was referred by my primary care physician (a referral is required for elective cosmetic surgery) and I was sent a denial letter. Contacted the practice to find out why and there was no explanation. The representative hung up on me without answering a reasonable question: hearing great things about this practice, how can I get an appointment for evaluation? Very disappointing. This practice was highly recommended by a contact in the Evergreen OR.
I had a terrifying DIEP Flap journey with Dr Shannon Colohan. Following my surgery in February 2024, onn numerous occasions, I told her I was having problems, and she mostly dismissed them. Dr Colohan is the best surgeon. Unfortunately I have had to see a number of times due to cancer recurrence, she is super personable, caring and empathetic. I feel confident with every surgery that she wil take care of me. I feel like she goes above and beyond with her care. She's also great at what she does in terms of surgical outcomes.
