I transferred care to her from another doc because of her reputation. She is quiet and gentle, but don't let that deceive you; she's also smart as a whip, thoroughly knowledgeable, up-to-date, and insightful. Dr DeShazo has an excellent "bedside manner". She explains what the lab tests are finding out and what that means for my care. She is empathetic and caring and is an excellent general practitioner. One of-- no---the only area for improvement would be in the communications area. Several times I have left messages for her staff to return calls. Dr DeShazo reviewed the call records and it said they had called back but got no answer and that they were not able to call me because of phone problems.
Makes patients wait too long. Not warm & friendly.
