One star is about appropriate. We were supposed to stay on their boat "Freestar". We paid for the booking 2 months ago.Two days before we were supposed to arrive I got a message saying it was cancelled. They offered us cabins on the Shangri la Cheer. As this was the Vancouver marathon weekend there were almost no other options so we accepted the switch. On arrival we discovered it was an old party boat that goes out on 3 to 4 hour charters. They did give us a small refund as our boat was going to be gone for one afternoon. T... read more

I would like don’t put stars at all 👎👎👎 Unfortunately, my experience at the New Year's Eve Cruise Party, for which I spent $160, was highly unsatisfactory for several reasons. Despite my attempts to reach out for a resolution, the organization has failed to contact me, leaving me with no choice but to dispute the charge with my bank. Don’t take any Shangri-la Boat Rentals events!!!! The experience was extremely unpleasant and absolutely unacceptable for several reasons: 1. Overbooking and Safety Concerns • It was evident that the event was severely oversold, as two tables of attendees were forcibly removed from the ship due to lack of space. • Our table was clearly a last-minute addition, raising questions about compliance with safety and fire regulations. • In the unfortunate event of an emergency, I seriously doubt whether adequate evacuation measures ... read more
