If I could give negative stars, I would. When a patient comes into this office with legitimate questions and concerns for after treatment and ultimately gets treated as a drug seeker, there’s a SERIOUS problem. When this surgeon claims to treat EVERY PATIENT “as if they were a member of his own family.” Your patients are human beings with feelings and real issues, not just a number and a name on the screen to be dismissed because you don’t feel it’s real.
My wife was seen by Dr Martin for an umbilical hernia. Our first red flag should have been how quickly he moved through the consultation appointment. He didn’t give us any time to explain her situation. She is a chronic pain patient, and was subsequently treated as if she is seeking drugs instead of relief. When we had concerns, he told us how it would go, in a very ignorant manner and did nothing to assure us that she wouldn’t be treated that way. Excellent listener, explained what would take place during surgery, and what to expect after.
You are lucky if you get Dr. Shane Martin for a doctor. I feel he is THE BEST doctor at the facility. He is so very good at what he does & how he explains it to you. All doctors should be like him! This--from someone who has had 2 surgery procedures by him.
