The company I work for rents a building from Shamin. Not sure it's possible to have a worse experience. The AC was out for two years, and they refused to fix it. The heat was out for the coldest part of the winter. Trash is rarely collected by the contractor. Dead rats in the parking garage. Stay far, far away.
The Hilton Garden Inn in Richmond, Virginia is the worse hotel I ever stayed in. I arrived 11:12pm. I went to my room the pillow cases looked like they had been removed from the dryer and put on the pillows without being pressed. I called the front desk and was told someone would come to replace the pillow cases after 30 mins nobody came. I called the front desk and was told the man for the night had left but I could change room. I said I had unpacked. I was told to come to the front desk to get pressed pillow cases. My wife and I stayed in a corner suite in this hotel over Labor Day weekend. Check-in was extremely slow - we did not get our room until 5 PM. The hotel was not clean - there was sand in the hallways. Since there is a disco on the roof, it was hard to get a good night's sleep because of the loud music. After we checked out, I reviewed my bill and discovered that we had been charged for alcoholic beverages at the Empyrean Lounge. Neither my wife nor I drink alcohol.
