Not Ready, Not Clean, Definitely Not 5-Star The property did not live up to its 5-star rating. It was unclean, unprepared at check-in, and several key appliances were not working. A lengthy power outage led to food spoilage, and communication with the host was poor and unwelcoming. While the location may have potential, significant improvements are needed to meet guest expectations.

Disappointing Experience – Needs Major Improvements We recently stayed at the Shyambhala retreat in Mendocino and, unfortunately, encountered several issues that significantly impacted our experience: Non-Functional Washing Machine – The washing machine was not working, and we were not informed in advance. Some reviews from our guests who attended our recent retreat we hosted at this location: -I was really content overall with the space/accommodations. I would've preferred an extra area or too with better sound proofing for those moments when I needed silence to sit or for example with my 1:1 sound healing. -I loved the space. There was room for everyone and numerous areas to reflect. -Loved the comfy vibe! Felt right and home and enjoyed the nature. -I enjoyed the lodge and property. The ranch is very peaceful and beautiful. You can enjoy the pond, use a kayak, or just sun bath on the deck. There is a big room with mirrors, which is great for yoga, workshops, dancing, etc. Rooms are comfortable and can accommodate large groups quite comfortably. Hot tub is also very nice, although it’s a few minutes away from the house, so on a chilly night you’d need a warm robe to get back home. Communication with the hosts was fast, easy, and respectful.
