One star Is too much class for Shalimar! – First off. I believe every Five star rating on this place is bogus. I have personally witnessed every single negative comment that has been posted - over priced lukewarm bland Indian food served on a not so clean plate. As one person has stated, "how has this place been able to stay in business." Forget the Earlier Reviews - Great Food & Great Service – My experiences with this restaurant always seem to be at a contrast to some of the other reviewers. We had a fabulous time tonight and enjoyed the attentive service as well as the excellent food which we were served. We started with the vegetable samosas. Hands down, no competition in Nashville – Great service: They make you feel like you're part of the family. The best Indian food in town... I should know, I've been studying for MANY years. You won't find better food anywhere. I crave it almost daily. Try the mango lassi if your food is too spicy. It's a perfect combination... Yummmmm!

Overpriced, food not great. – When you see $15 for a chicken vindaloo on the menu you should expect something good. Not here; I got an average dish with watery sauce. The garlic naan seemed to be fried pizza base with garlic powder too amply sprinkled over the top. Won't be eating here again.
FABULOUS MEAL GREAT EXPERIENCE – We LOVE Shalimar in Green Hills!
