We spent one night here on our way back from a vacation and I wish we had stayed much longer!! Great location for wandering the Berkshires; enjoying all that they have to offer. A spectacular room with so many detailed touches that made it feel like sliding into a wonderful pillow of care! The breakfast in our room was a feast of so many options and choices. We had the pleasure of staying at the inn for a whole week. The staff were super accommodating to us and our two cats. Having breakfast available in our rooms every day was a treat. The main drag of West Stockbridge is easily walkable from the Inn, and we were close to tons of other attractions in the Berkshires. We can’t wait to return for another stay!
The location is quite handy to restaurants and shops. The room was huge and comfortable. The best part was having a private patio to enjoy the sun rise and sunshine! The breakfast offered was marginal. The low part was 1/2 of Dunkins egg & sausage sandwich and 2 strawberries. 2 nights for over $700.00 and breakfast is one 1/2 a small sandwich????Really???
Great little hotel!! We loved the beautiful gardens and quiet location. Also love that we can bring our dog next time. John and Patti really do their best to make you feel at home and make the rooms cozy. Be sure to head over to No.Six Depot for coffee, it's amazing!
Of all the many place I've stayed, I had the worst experience of my life at Shaker Mill Inn. It started on the first day when housekeeping didn't show up, although they had a 2-hour window to do so. I tried 3 times to call the number provided to ask why this happened, but no one answered or returned my call. That evening, I emailed the inn and received a response from the owner who, I found out, doesn't live on the premises. He has hired help who live there.
