The end result was a finished basement and that is about the only positive. We had poor communication and poor service. We didn’t always know when someone would be showing up to do work or how long it would take. We were not consulted about some decisions made (like bathroom and light fixtures, etc.). When the wrong tile was installed on the bathroom floor, we were asked to take it up ourselves (instead of having someone come out to do it or deal with the aftermath the next day). DO NOT HIRE THIS HACK!!! I have a long list of complaints against Syed from Sy Builders. He does NO actual construction work himself and subcontracts everything out to unprofessional subs. He promised the entire renovation project would take 6 months at the most, but it is still unfinished after more than a year. My family and I have been living out of boxes and bags at a family member's home for months. Every deadline was never met and he always blames it on his subs (whom he hired).
