I have had a lot of kidney specialists over the years but none like him. Extremely thorough, great follow up, knowledgeable and cares.

Dr. Shafik is a really great doctor. I have now been seeing him a little over a year due to kidney failure. I am usually very afraid during my visits because I don't want to hear the words "Its time to start the big "D" (I hate saying dialysis ). He always has some reassuring words of encouragement and seems to calm my spirit. He adjusted my meds and they are working wonderfully.
