I've never lived in a community managed so poorly before. called corporate yesterday after property manager has neglected to fix sewage gas leaking into my house with my pregnant fiance. 2 months after initial. The community manager is overbearing and very unfriendly! They set rules in the lease, but only enforce them when it's convenient for them. Not everybody is held to the same standard! The roads are in need of repair, and so is the "park" where they expect our children to play! All these people care about is collecting the lot rent, which continues to go up. 7/19/14:Yesterday at Blackhawk Estates in Des Plaines the site manager Laura started going from house to house confiscating people's belongings from their yards. They put things like bikes, strollers, tool boxes, planters and strollers on the back of a truck and gave the residents tickets for $75 to $200. The took 4 bikes from the children in one family! Do NOT rent here. These people engage in a variety of illegal practices, such as throwing away your personal property if they don't like where it's sitting. They will also come and attempt to claim you are in violation of the lease without ANY written notice or chance to correct the violation. This is a direct contradiction to the lease itself that you sign, which states you MUST be given WRITTEN NOTICE, and then allowed A MINIMUM of 3 days to correct the issue. These people are out to milk the tenants for as many violation ... read more
Management is terrible. Pet friendly is an overstatement. The lease excludes everything that you would consider a normal part of life. The rent is inflated each year with no benefit to the residents. Streets are filled with holes. Gardens are frowned upon. Freedom does not exist here.
This company screws with the employees as well as their tenants. They are big time crooks, do not trust them. Their homes have bugs, they do not take care of the property or their homes, and the supervisors, owners, and CEO will lie cheat and steal from you. I had to click a star to be able to post this, but they do not get a star.
