I ran in to kill time and get out of the torrential rain on my way back to NYC. It was too hard to drive highway speed so I found this place after googling nearby Amish markets when Green Dragon turned out to be closed. I didn't have nearly enough time. Quite a remarkable place with an unbelievable variety of prepared foods, bulk foods, local Pennsylvania Dutch brands and unusual items. Donuts are awesome!! Enjoyable experience! We went on a Saturday morning....a little busy but worth the trip!
We visit a lot from New Jersey, and love the market. We were there yesterday, and found New things that saved us a trip in all of the holiday traffic, which made us very happy. We always find things we can't seem to find anymore anywhere else. The bakery was stocked full, which is very important to return home with THE DONUTS! We love shady maple and will always visit as often as we can!
