Came in for the first time, the older lady in the front greeted me with the biggest smile. Took my order and was very helpful. The cook was waiting and I politely asked for extra pickles. He replied no problem! Great tasting Bacon Cheeseburger, crisp veggies and has an option for tater tots. Way cheaper then Jackson's gas station and service was way better and welcoming. Bathrooms where very clean and stocked. Thank you! I'll be back.
An establishment named after the sketchy retirement home I threaten my mom with now that I am over 40 (sorry mom, you came at me one too many times with that wooden spoon, enjoy Bingo and custard night). I thoroughly enjoy this iconic little County-Cafe nettled on HWY 44. The food is good and exactly right for the price you pay. The staff is efficient. Rude? No. They just don't care to be an ally for whatever foolishness you identify as nor do seek to learn your silly pronouns.
Good customer service and the store is pretty well stocked. I haven't stopped here in years so I was a bit sad to see that it seems to have gone downhill a bit but I'm happy to see they are still in business.
Now that was good food. I'm from the Midwest and it's hard to find these gas station restaurants in the valley. But this one is a hit. Real good food
