Upon being greeted at check in I was aware this was going to be a great experience and immediately started with 5 stars. I wanted to wait until the end of our stay to actually write about it. Some places like this have great pictures, but the reality is different. Not the case with Shadow Mountain. All the furniture is authentic and the accommodations are pristine. Great place for the wife and I to come relax and get away from the NCR. Very pleased with our stay!
A little slice of paradise on earth! We plan to return to SME in every season. Karen and Ralph are wonderful hosts, and the welcome treats on our arrival were absolutely delicious.
Amazing property. The room was very clean. The host’s baked goods were fantastic. We took a walk around the property on our last day. It was so peaceful.
Absolutely amazing place, and a hidden gem. Karen and Ralph are caring hosts who strike that rare balance of high touch and privacy. We stayed for several nights, and a few times we were pleasantly surprised by pastries and sweets. The locations itself is stunning. It is, without exaggeration, the nicest cabin I have ever stayed in, and easily rivals what I experienced in Europe. It is a far cry from the other cabins in the area. A great place for a weekend getaway, Shadow Mountain Escape is a hidden charm, tucked away in Woods. The decor, the design, the architecture and the space is beautiful and is curated by the owners with their own unique experiences and passion. I would definitely be returning to this hidden gem.
