Horses well cared for. Solid lesson program. We've had our horses at Shadow Creek for over 10 years. Their well-being is always the first priority to the owner. I love the small barn atmosphere and the trainers are top notch and positive. It's great to see my horse teach little kids to ride and to see the advanced riders take my other horse to shows and win lots of ribbons. It is clean and well cared for. And the low price has enabled me to keep my horses.
Very good stable Shadow Creek Stables provides a safe, clean riding enviroment for everyone from the first time rider to those on the show circuit. There are four very knowledgeable instructor/trainers at the facility. They take a personal interest in their students and are very happy to help all of the people at the stable, not just their students. The facility is older, but is well maintained with a heated indoor arena, which is great in the winter! I have been involved with hunter/jumpers for over 30 years and have seen a... read more
awesomest place ever – Shadow Creek Stables is a place where it is quite challenged but in a very very fun way. Shere the horses are stubborn but like all barns have stubborn horses and all barns have very easy-going horses, just like Shadow Creek Stables!
Nice place, nice people – I have worked in many horse facilities throughout Minnesota. Mostly horse barns training for hunters and jumpers, but some dressage and quarter and western places as well. I do chores and help around. Feed and lead horses to paddocks, clean stalls, fix fences, that sort of thing. Load hay and bedding, I've been doing this off and on for well over fifteen years. I now have been working at Shadow Creek Stables for about four years and I think it is a wonderful place for lessons or board. It is not as ... read more
A Bad Place The owner of this stable is so abrasive that you will leave upset every time you go. Everything else here is mediocre at best. Save the frustration and go to a better stable where you will be treated decently.
enjoyed it I would have to say that i like this barn. the owner can be a little bit on the rougher side, but after seeing all of the things (and people) she deals with on a daily basis, i think it is understandable. I learned a lot from the lessons, and i really appreciate that they have lesson horses. They offered my a variety of horses at different points in their training and life, and I know i learned more than if i had ridden one of the 'bombproof' horses there. Overall, i really like it. There are some people there tha... read more
Unfriendly The owner of this stable is arrogant and unaccomodating. You will leave mad at her every time you come. There are better stables all over.
employment Hi, My name is Laura,Im looking to see if you are in need of help there. Your stables and programs sound wounderfull. Its definetly somehting I would love to be part of. Im very much into hard work, along with caring for animals. Its something Ive been long looking to do my self.I live in Lino Lakes, and have family that live in Forest Lake,we love the area. Im very much looking forword to talking to you. Thank You, Laura.
What a nightmare – Im certainly glad that you are happy at how your horse was treated. Seems I can't even get any of the professional riders, to ride my horse, as I don't do shows, and so he's therefore not worth riding, even though I pay the same amount for a professional ride as everyone else. As far as the indoor arena, people can forget about it. It is constantly full of lessons in the winter. In summer there's an outdoor arena, but if you're planning to ride indoors, in winter, unless you are taking a lesson, you might ... read more
