I entered shades of hope for anorexia in 2009. Most of the therapists were like vultures. They cut me off cold turkey from the anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds I had been taking for several years. They then diagnosed me as bipolar II, and put me on meds for that which I had an adverse reaction to and became suicidal. They forced me to eat at a point when my body was rejecting food. I spent about three months at shades of hope in 2010. I suffered from anorexia and drug addiction. I was there just before they wrapped shooting on an Oprah network series, which meant we at the non televised portion of the center relieved extremely low quality care. Or at least I hope for there sake. I came from a different treatment center who put me on multiple different depression and anxiety mess, yet shades of hope cut me off that medication cold turkey which is a huge no no.
