I honestly didn’t realize how much I needed this Japanese hair spa until I experienced it. From the moment I sat down, I felt completely relaxed and cared for. The scalp massage was amazing, and my hair feels so much softer, healthier, and lighter afterward. I left feeling refreshed not just physically, but mentally too. Five stars for my Japanese Scalp Treatment specifically the Pampering Paradise Package! As a woman who suffers from seborrheic dermatitis on the scalp, Amanda did such a great job refreshing and treating my scalp with so much carefulness and compassion. I am a type 4 hair girly with textured curly/kinky hair and she did a great job while taking her time! I highly recommend booking with her if you are in the area if you are interested in the Japanese Head Spa treatments.
I had a Japanese scalp massage at Shades by Mandi, and it was a great experience. I went in expecting something more focused on relaxation, but I was honestly surprised (in the best way) by how thorough the treatment was. There was a lot of deep cleansing and scrubbing involved, it really felt like an actual scalp treatment, not just a massage. I started seeing Mandi in 2023 after moving to the area and needing to find a new salon, and finding her was seriously the best! I came in wanting blonde highlights on my dark virgin hair that I had spent years growing out, and she absolutely nailed the look I was going for while keeping my hair healthy.
