I took my vehicle in to Shade Trees today and was blown away by how friendly and upfront they were about my vehicles issues. Along with the issues I had, I thought I needed other stuff done. They could have just went ahead and done all that I asked for but they informed me that it was not needed and explained to me why. Not many places will pass up an opportunity to make those extra dollars from you, but they did. I have never met a repair shop as honest as they are. As for the reviews below, I have to question the integrity of them. As with any shop, there’s not always a definitive answer when it comes to a vehicles issue. Any sane person knows that. Sometimes it takes a few tries to fix all the issues you are having because one thing can mask an underlying issue especially in high mile vehicles or ones that have been poorly maintained. Think of mechanics as drs. They treat one symptom only to have something else pop up that was causing the problem in the first place. It’s the same for vehicles. You may not like the diagnosis but if you don’t take care of the issues/vehicle and just keep putting it off, what do you expect. I will not be taking me vehicle anywhere else but Shade Trees. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a dependable family owned repair shop.

I took my car in for a check engine light. They told me they fixed it, but the light came on right after I left. I took it back 3 other times, only for them to tell me they couldn’t help me. They cashed my $500 check, but never fixed the problem. I then took my car to a different mechanic, who told me they didn’t do any of the things that they charged me for on the receipt. They charged me for parts and labor that they actually never changed out and worked on. I’ve filed a complaint with the BBB.

All I can say is "Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!" This is a family owned and operated business and they are nothing less than phenomenal! I took my car without knowing much about them other than a good review from another online source and I am SO GLAD I did!. First, they gave me an HONEST estimate on my car (no charge)- thier prices compared to 3 other garages in Hendersonville. Second, Theresa, her brother Jerry, and son David were all just the nicest and most accomidating people ever!. They completed the work in the most expedient tme possible, fair pricing, and just are just overall-"good people"-something very hard to come by in this trade. They even lent me a personal vehicle when my repairs took longer than initailly anticipated. Would I recommend Shade Trees DIY Auto to anyone.... YES, YES, YES!
