Bedside manner - nice After having my second hernia repair done by Dr. Zaragoza, I had to go in for my post-operative check-up. Dr. Zaragoza was on vacation the day of my appointment so I met with Dr. Shachner. He was just as nice as Dr. Zaragoza. He was gentle and kind - had a good bedside manner and listened to all of my questions answering each one thoroughly. Awesome Surgeon!!! My husband had to have an emergency appendectomy a few weeks ago. Dr. Shachner was a skilled surgeon, as well as having a terrific bedside manner. My husband was out of the hospital within 24 hours and has very mimimal scaring. In addition, Dr. Shachner's office staff was fabulous! They were caring and helpful. If I ever need another surgery, he will be my first call!
Patient Dr. Shachner was the physician that did my biopsy, and had the undaunting task of telling me I had cancer. Not only was he the most compassionate doctor that I have had,but his entire staff made what could have been a terrifying experience bearable. His quick smile, compassionate manners and encouragement got me through a very difficult time of my life.
