I am a new submitter and have always refrained from using grading companies for the simple matter that I FEAR my valuable cards will be damaged and/or not handled appropriately. So, here I am sharing with you on why I was CORRECT on my original belief that using SGC grading is the absolute worst idea. My most prized card is a 1955 Bowman Mickey Mantle. Sent 8 cards in to be graded, paid for 1-2 day turn around and I got them exactly then. Grades look good, first time having anything graded so I won't question them. I know word is they are tougher graders so I will gladly take the scores given. Very happy with service and my introduction to collecting!
Went into their office because I was hoping to get some cards graded and drop them off in person. They said they only do online unless I have a large collection. Not really looking to help the customer at all or provide any sort of customer service. You’d think it would be easier to process something and have me just come pick it up rather than have to ship it.
