My go-to spot for alterations. Unlike the other reviews on this business, I haven't had any issues with poor customer service. On numerous occasions I have asked them for alterations to be done the next day, they have done so with no "rush" fee as stated by one of the other reviews. I have also never had an issue with them changing the price.
Poor Management I know there aren't many options in Jacksonville, but I would definitely try to stay away from this store. Sew-Rite has extremely poor management skills and customer service. I asked the girls working in the front about having my jacket fixed and no one seemed to know the answer.... or who to contact to find out an answer; also- once I walked in to the store and there was a lady screaming about her husband on the phone, and last but not least- they've messed up my ticket on two different occassions and I WAS ... read more
Stay away- poor staff and customer service is a zero! bad customer service, unknowledgeable staff, unable to give set price and honor that price, obviously won't call if the price goes on the alteration. I have used this place two times- today was the last. I took in 3 shirts and one coat to have patches put on and then three pants to have a basic hem placed in them. Best alterations in Jacksonville! I used to work there and we always had customers come to us to fix the mistakes that other seamstresses had made and had overcharged them for. Never once did I see anyone pay more for a service than was reasonable. Perfectionism is something most alterations shops in town are not at all concerned with and are lacking.
