The rooms were clean bright and airy with very comfortable beds. The food is excellent. Meals are delicious and beautifully plated. Staff, from the front desk to servers, are polite and helpful. The kayaks and canoes are well maintained. We really enjoyed the quiet and peace. I am in a wheelchair and though it is challenging to negotiate the property and I would highly recommend the experience. Will book for next year.

Severn Lodge is set on a stunning property, and the staff we met in person were kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, our experience trying to plan a wedding here was very disappointing. Communication was extremely difficult—we found ourselves speaking with three different people at different times, often waiting weeks or even months for replies. Beautiful scenery but was very disappointed with our stay. We booked the couples fall retreat which included champagne and chocolates we never received. We had no soap, shampoo, bottled water in our room and there was no indication as to whether the water was potable so just went thirsty all weekend Food was honesty the best part and it was mediocre at best We have stayed at couples resort as well as several others in this niche and have had many good experiences This was more expensive and way less value for the money. As repeat guests since 2017 this was our last visit. The things we loved about Severn have changed so dramatically, that I can’t even describe it adequately. There is no longer a way to relax, swim, or paddle without blasting music. They now have “happy hour” at the pool with music cranked so high you can’t even get away from it in the middle of the lake.
