What a crazy day! This is really about our guide, Kate. The day started as drizzly(which was good since not as many boats going by) but soon the winds picked up, easily at least 25-30 mph. The waters were choppy and wavy. While my husband was doing great, I was nervous; I think understandably so. At one point it felt like the kayak was barely moving due to the winds. 5 of us friends went out and had a great day with Ian (a youngster) as our tour guide. He was a great guide and had extensive knowledge about the sights and things we'd see along the way, and stopped to explain each. He was careful in making sure we were all strong enough, and check in with us from time to time. We never wanted it to end! I highly recommend a day out before our short season is over. Can't wait til next year when we'll do it again!

Our guided tour this morning was fabulous! Ian was the perfect guide for our group of five--accommodating of all of us; knowledgeable of the area and its history; expert in teaching us some new skills; friendly and fun to be with! Would love to do this again.

Enjoyed kayaking along the Sagamore River. Kate was a great guide. Very knowledgeable about Portsmouth and New Castle and the surrounding islands.

my family and I had a very memorable trip. The weather was perfect. The guide was helpful and knowledgeable. we will definitely be doing this again
