The first talk of a second golf course, in this area, took place in the Green Tavern in March of 1965 with Jack Emerson, Edna Merriken, James Pompeo, Gil Stoney and Ray Whitmer in attendance. Along with them Lou Cappola, Vinel Lewis, Paul Lyons, Wilma McRae, George Sterchi, Bob Stricklin, Jo Miller, Ed Tolle and Lester Wright composed the first Board ofDirectors.
