I've stayed at this inn a number of times over 20+ years. The views, rooms, and grounds are still fabulous. However, since this inn was sold to a hotel brand several years ago, the overall quality has diminished significantly. The breakfast fare is inferior to what it was, the afternoon "treats" went from a delicious variety of appetizers to a single type of cookie or cake. We stayed in the DiBlasi room at the Seven Gables Inn for our 25th anniversary. It exceeded all of our expectations! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was well appointed, comfy bed, fireplace, good water pressure in the shower. The wine and cookie hours were a nice touch. The hotel is right across the street from Monterey Bay with awesome views! It is so close to Carmel and Big Sur. A few good restaurants within walking distance. It was relaxing and luxurious, and we will always remember it!
