I have long wanted to stay at Seven Gables, and the location did not disappoint. However, we found the Inn's photos of the view of the Crespi Room to be grossly misleading and inaccurate. If you are considering staying here, take a look at the photos on their site of the Crespi Room, which show a full ocean view out of both the main window and a smaller window. The location is great, close to the water and within blocks of restaurants. However, I would NOT stay again because of service. At check in, I learned that I didn't get full ocean view , and was told I should have known from the room photo. Unlike most hotels, their website doesn't specify "partial". To switch rooms, I would be charged upgrade and cleaning fees by the manager. Given I had already paid upwards of $600 a night, I opted not to switch rooms.
