I’m not leaving a bad review. It’s more of an informative review. If this is your thing, that’s great, but just an fyi. We stayed here Aug 25 & 26. Night 1: The fire alarm went off at 11:30 pm, so all hotel goers were in the parking lot for an hour in the middle of the night, waiting for someone to come. Apparently, no one who works there is in the building after hours!! Just the renters. The fire dept took 30 minutes to get there. Someone found the number of the owner and called them. Had a very pleasant stay! Rooms were clean and had nice amenities! Staff was really helpful! Pool was very nice and clean. A good distance away from fish creek, you are really close while also still feeling a little out in the country and quiet! Stay was overall very quiet and lovely.
My room smelled like dirty laundry, and the front desk staff blamed me! I work in hospitality myself, and do not like giving negative reviews, but I just can’t let this go. Hopefully, the owners have already taken care of the odor problem and the other issues noted below. Maybe I just caught them during a rough week. I check their availability for one night, they asked how many people is there, and offered me a king bedroom, when I asked for a roll in or any extra bed they said the couch is a pull out that will fit 2. So I took the room, they quoted me $215 per night. When I turned in my keys on checkout they said there was an extra $20 charge per person per night! Beware. The rooms are musty and the air conditioning cannot keep up with the humidity. Your clothes will smell musty when you leave. Hotel charges a per person fee that is not disclosed at the time of booking or at check-in.
