Dr. Alpert was very knowledgeable and friendly during our consult. He was thorough and took his time explaining any questions we had. Was very satisfied with our visit. You can tell how smart and educated he is. Would recommend.
If I could give zero stars I would! I cannot believe Dr. Alpert is a doctor affiliated with Nationwide Children’s hospital! Dr. Alpert did not listen to A SINGLE concern we had! My child had a previous hospital admission (at NCH) for the issue she was being seen in the office for and Dr. Alpert could have cared less about the admit or anything that happened during her inpatient encounter. I have never been treated or talked to so poorly by a medical provider. My child and I left the office feeling unheard and hopeless.
I will not be taking my son back to see this Dr. - I told him to stop during an exam and he did not, I thought I had been quite clear but apparently I had to insist before he stopped. In my opinion Dr. Alpert does not understand childhood age differences well, as he treated my 3 year old as if he were closer to 5 in terms of capabilities, dexterity, etc. I agree with the other reviewers about bedside manner and other concerns as well.
He should be taken out of his duty. I am now 1.5yrs after the x-ray he requested noticing he did not notify us about a scoliosis development.
Dr. Alpert has constantly gone above and beyond in providing wonderful Urology care for our daughter. When it seemed we were hitting a wall in treatment options, he and his team worked with another specialist to come up with a plan. They took a risk and it paid off. He was willing to think outside the box and see my daughter as an individual patient, not lumping her treatment and care in with what would be "normal." That is the sign of an amazing doctor!
