The state park has a splash pad, some parts giving parents coverage. Love the paddle boat rentals. You can also rent a canoe. Plenty of trails, little gift shop with drinks, snacks, ice cream, souvenirs. Two mini playgrounds in a wooded area, perfect to take a break out of the sun. We will be back.
Clean, peacefully place. We went to try lo fish lol( we have no clue en how to do it) but we spent a good time there pretending.
Something strange happened to me here, so I wanted to leave a review in case anyone else has had a similar experience. In 2012, my friends and I were camping here in a tent (picture of campsite below). The campground was empty except for one couple who arrived after sunset and camped a few spots away. Later that night during a thunderstorm, the wind became so intense that our tent lifted off the ground, and the five of us inside (5 high school girls) were the only thing holding it down.
