The water line to our icemaker developed an ice dam which forced the water line out of the freezer compartment of our refrigerator. We had water on the floor which went into our finished basement. ServiceMaster came out quickly and they identified the problem. Their technicians carried moisture sensors to tell them exactly where the water had hit the ceiling, the wall, the carpet and the baseboards. ServiceMaster came in and did a carpet and hardwood floor cleaning. My floor looked like a completely different room, just like I brought new carpet. The wood floors look good also, they explained the whole process to me, and the drying time was not as bad as I have had before. I have already scheduled an appointment for next year after the New Year!
They did a really good job handling the removal of water from our basement. The crew removed also all wet damaged items from the basement. They patiently worked with me in identifying what needed to be discarded. Their crew cleaned areas, cut out damaged paneling and worked to avoid any mold growth. The place was sanitized, damaged items removed; and the basement aired out with blowers.
