RecommendedI have used Service Monkey for years. I have purchased a new gas fireplace from them and have them service our gas fireplaces. They have always done an outstanding job for us and have been very responsive to our needs. This year I called to schedule the annual service of our Regency Fireplace. Asked them to come in on a working gas fireplace and give recommendations on updates and or repairs. The only thing they did is shut it down. No estimate, no suggested repairs. I wish I never had them come to look at it.

We shut off the fireplace upon discovery that the fireplace in question is a vent-free unit, which is illegal in the county as it poses a severe fire risk due to the carbon monoxide that comes from these vent-free units. Billy was awesome. When he couldn't talk us through our pilot light problem, he came to our house right away. He explained the procedure and fixed it immediately. I would recommend Service Monkey to anyone. They are great!
