Intact and Belairdirect are same company where they lay adjusters off consistently to make sure they are saving on salary. Because of their high turnovers adjusters do not know what they are doing. They may offer cheaper premium but just wait until you need to file a claim, it is a disaster. My friend was offered 20K less than what they should have on their brand new vehicle because adj did not know what they are doing. BEWARE
Belair was gouging me year over year on my home insurance. They raised it to over $3,600 per year. I've never made a claim in 10 years, nor changed my coverage, and last year it went up $75 per month. Absolutely disgusting. I've just switched companies and the same home insurance coverage costs $1,100 per year. Trust me, go somewhere else for a quote, as Belair steals your hard earned money.
The worst insurance company ever. Awful customer service!! We had to cancel our policy because we moved to a new location. We clearly requested cancellation of both our auto and home insurance, but they only cancelled the auto policy due to their misunderstanding. When we called again to ask why we were still being charged, they told us they needed to review the original call to verify the cancellation date. These guys are so amazing, they welcome you with amazing service, they show you what needs to be done, they give you a time line and they have your car rental ready to go wow ! They service Coffee and snacks, I got to watch TV 5 plus !
