Dr. Serrao does not value his patients or respect their time. He was running well over an hour behind and never acknowledged that fact. He was extremely rude and couldn’t believe that I was upset after waiting 1.5 hours past my appointment time to be seen. There are far better Derm offices around.
Dr runs VERY late with no explanation or apology. He was rude and disrespectful.
Very rushed and little to no explanation of the recommended follow-up for "very small superficial squamus." I investigated and learned that a surgical (Mohs) procedure was planned. Little or nothing was explained: No specifics on a treatment plan, alternatives, risks, costs, etc were presented. However, I learned on my own that at least 2 medical alternatives are available. I had a similar squamus issue in the distant past, which was resolved, by another Dr in one visit; this current issue seems minor in comparison. I am con... read more
He always takes the time to check your entire body for suspicious moles or spots. I trust him completely for my care! Awesome doctor!
I've been going to Dr. Serrao for a couple of years now. His attention to detail, knowledge and great personality makes him my first choice. The office staff are polite and professional. His office location is in a very nice area near Mason, just off of Tylersville and is easy to get to.
Easy to get appointment; took more time to fill new patient forms than the wait outside or in exam room. Although quick, the doctor explained the diagnosis and treatment plan very clearly. Let's see how well it works out in the 5-6 weeks recommended.
He was very thorough & listened to all my concerns. He didn't rush through my skin screening at all & answered all my questions. Did the same thing with my child on his visit. We have history of skin cancer in family & were happy to see they took the time to really listen to us.
Terrible experience with Dr. Serrao. The appointment was completely rushed; arrived in the exam room at 6:17 and was walking out at 6:29- my very first visit! I had a laundry list of things to discuss, he only took the time to hear one and immediately responded with a vague treatment plan. Did not take the time to ask about my medical history, nor look at my history form right in front of him, before "treating" me. Removed a skin tag off of my neck and it is now infected. I will never return!
I had good experience when I visited. Here are the Pros and Cons: Pros: Quick appointment scheduling over the phone. Less waiting time. Cons: Instead of educating me on the decease verbally he handed over me a small booklet. I could have downloaded the same from internet. I did not get educated on about my all the options. He assumed I will prefer the fastest way and did treatment accordingly. After learning online I decided to stop treatment during my second visit.
