It all started back on October 2, 1968 at a place called Ellis Island. Sergio had just arrived from Palermo, Italy on the Queen Mary II to start working at his brother's pizza restaurant in New York. After honing his craft for seven years, Sergio was finally ready to go out on his own and opened his first Sergio's Pizza in Riverhead, NY in 1975. This Place was disgusting! I found a cockroach right in the middle of floor, the place look like it haven’t been swept or mopped in months. Soda and tea machine had dried residue on it you can tell it hasn’t been cleaned in a while. The Manager was nice enough to give me a refund that’s the only reason why it gets a one star. Also they handled my food without washing their hands first with no gloves. Very nasty!!!
Smallest 20" pizza I ever got. Didn't even take up the box. Took out a tape measure and it was 17 across. What am I paying for here? I knew it as soon as I opened the box. I order pizza every week for my autistic daughter and wanted to give this local place a shot. I'm done.
Now Randy's and even better. Best NY style pizza in the triangle. Great staff
