I have been seeing Dr. Awasum for 13 years for my Crohn's Disease and GERD. He is, by far, one of the most knowledgeable gastroenterologist I've been in the care of, since my conditions were diagnosed in 2001. He keeps current with all the latest studies and treatments. In addition he is very personable, sympathetic, and understanding of the additional complications that accompany IBD's. Dr. Serge Awasum, Ann Marie, and staff were amazing! If your looking for excellent and professional care this is your clinic and your doctor. I have suffered from stomach issues for years before visiting Dr. Serge. He has done a great job by addressing my issues in a caring manner, and I can say that I feel much better. Dr Awasum is an excellent Dr. He found out what was going on with me and had me feeling better within 2 weeks.
My appointment was for 4p.m. I arrived at 3:45. I was called to sit in the internal waiting room at 4:35. I asked to use the restroom. Was gone for 2 minutes. Came back and the nurse/assistant had placed another patient in the room and I was directed to go back outside and wait. I will NEVER come back to office. Patients were overbooked and I don't like the manner in which I was treated!
He did a lower GI on me a year or so ago and found a flat polyp that would normally be missed. I trust him so much that I scheduled another appt with him even though I moved away and live in a different city.
